NHCSAPC uses evidence-based prevention tools to educate youth, young adults and parents about the dangers of underage drinking and prescription drug abuse. By underscoring positive decision-making and the importance of family strength, we work to empower families to build resilience and youth to remain substance-free. Our work includes:

  • Giving presentations to youth and parents
  • Promoting permanent prescription drop boxes and other safe medication disposal methods
  • Organizing events like Drug Take Back Day
  • Providing resources to our service communities
